Christmas 2007
Well another year has come and gone…and way too fast for that matter. We hope this letter finds you all happy and well. Not much has happened for us in 2007. We went home for the summer so Matt could landscape with his Dad again. We had a great time being close to family and participating with them. Shortly after being home we found out we were expecting our third baby. We are due on February 4th, 2008 and we are having yet another boy. We are single handedly replenishing the ranks of the future missionaries.
Matthew will be graduating this May with his BS in Medical Science. He wants to continue his education and is thinking MD, OD, DO or PhD. He was a student aid in the anatomy lab and really enjoyed teaching the students about the human body. He says he hasn’t taken up any new hobbies, but enjoys looking at dead bodies. Next semester he gets to dissect live rabbits. (You all may want to keep an eye on your pets when we come to visit!) He does so well in school and gets great grades. We are so proud of him and thankful for his commitment to our future. We can’t wait to see where he leads our family next.
Shaila is still a busy stay at home mom. She loves being home with her children and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Before getting pregnant she was really enjoying her aerobics and running. She ran the Moses Lake Fun Run with her friend and was fourth in her division. (Only because her friend elbowed her out of the way at the last second! Ha!) She’s taken up blogging this year and has really enjoyed keeping a family journal and staying in contact with family and friends. You can read our family website at www.lifeatthehardys.blogspot.com
Malcolm is 4 years old now. He’s in preschool and is loving it. He’s learned to write his name without help and is anxious to learn more. When I asked him what he likes to do at school he says he likes to read stories, do projects and play housekeeping. At home he says he likes to read scriptures and eat apples. He has a great imagination and can draw for hours making up stories.
Quinn is now 2 years old. He has grown so much and is getting so tall. He’s a busy little boy and doesn’t slow down for much. He loves all sports and has quite the imagination thinking he is playing them. Sometimes all he wants is to have an imaginary baseball thrown to him so he can hit it. He’s learned to talk really well and most of the time we can understand him.
We love this time of year when we celebrate our Savior’s birth. We are so thankful for the knowledge of our Savior and for the sacrifice He made for each and every one of us. We hope this next year will find you all much joy and happiness.
