Easter Sunday

I was a little worried for Easter Sunday, as we have 9am church. So I made sure I had all the clothes ironed the night before, which I like to do, but it doesn't always get done. I also made sure I got up earlier then usual so I could be at least mostly ready before they woke up. It went pretty well, thought I think we were a few minutes late for church, ugh!

 The Easter bunny made sure it got it's own basket, and found these cute cheap earrings. LOVED the roses.

The Easter bunny got a little out of control with the candy and totally misjudged how much candy it was bringing. I've made sure the Easter bunny knows to take inventory next year as to not bring too much candy next year!

 I made sure to get a picture of all my handsome men. They didn't turn out very good, but I got them none the less! Love that I have all these boys to love me and spoil me rotten!

 It was really hard for all these boys to cooperate after being in church all day, so we had to do a funny picture too. Don't get too wild Matt! Haha!

For Easter dinner we invited some of our other student friends from the ward. We ended up with a huge crowd of 20, 12 adults and 8 kids. And we did all manage to fit in our little apartment. We served ham, party potatoes, strawberry pretzel salad, rolls and peach upside down cake. Then everyone else brought sides to add to the feast. It was a great day to spend time with our friends that are our family away from home. We love the friends we have made here, and I'm going to miss them dearly when we move away. After the feast we had a fun time playing some Wii Just Dance. It was hilarious watching the guys do it, and I'm really disappointed that I didn't get my camera out fast enough to get a decent picture!

Institute Easter Party

WesternU's institute put on an Easter BBQ and egg hunt. We were good and went out to socialize at it. We were the first to arrive, besides one single guy who put it together. Gotta love mormon standard time! The kids had lots of fun playing and it was great getting some grub!

Easter Weekend

We started the Easter celebration the Thursday before at Barnes and Nobles. I was on the phone with my good friend Rachel when she told me they were having a story time and Easter egg hunt in a half an hour. So I quickly got all four kids ready and headed out the door to meet her there. I was hoping I could handle all the kids by myself, and it went well. They all had a great time and got lots of eggs, since there were only two other mom's there with kids. Some were filled with gift certificates and 25% off coupons. We made out with a $5 gift certificate, a $10 gift certificate, four 25% off coupons and lots of candy and eggs. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures, even though my camera was hanging around my neck. Between chasing three kids hunting for the eggs, and a one year old who wants to get into everything, I didn't get much of a chance.

We spent Easter weekend back home with our families. It was a fun filled weekend that was very busy. Friday night we dropped Jayni off with Brianne at my mom's house. Then Saturday morning we picked her back up for a Easter egg hunt that Matt's parents ward was having. They were all so excited to go. Every kid was limited to seven eggs, so the hunting went quick. When we got there, I snapped a couple of pictures before it got started.

I was trying to coach and follow all three kids by myself, so again, I missed out on the action. But I did get some after pictures.






None of the kids have ever dyed eggs. I just haven't ever wanted the mess and felt like I would wait until they were a little older. Since Malcolm is almost six, I guess it's about time. So my mom took matters into her own hands, and helped the kids with their first experience. I must say, that it was a lot less messy then I had envisioned, so I will continue on with the tradition I always loved as a kid!

Cynthia did some rice crispy eggs dipped in chocolate. I missed out on the fun, so I didn't get any pictures of it. But they were so cute and yummy. Something I would love to do in the years to come.

Easter Weekend

We started out our Easter weekend doing an Easter egg hunt. It was so cold!! Last year the boys were in shorts and a t-shirt. Crazy weather! They separate the kids by ages, so Quinn and Malcolm went at the same time. When they said "go" Quinn was really timid and I was trying to get him to hurry and get eggs. I wondered what the problem was, until he told me "pants fall down." Matt didn't put a belt on him, and these pants just fall right off him. After that he picked up 10-15 eggs then looked in his basket and said, "that's enough" and walked off. What a funny kid. Here he is waiting to start.Matt went and watched Malcolm do his. Matt tried to explain to him that it's kind of a "race" and you pick up eggs as fast as you can. Well Malcolm had other plans and only picked up the colors he wanted...red and orange. He did the same thing last year. Both Quinn and Malcolm ended up with about the same amount.

Luckily we only had to be in the cold for 10-15 mins. Winston was all bundled up in the sling under a blanket and my coat. He was quite content. He is so dang cute in his little outfit!
After the Easter egg hunt, we were able to go home for my nephew Grayson's baby blessing. I was so glad that I was able to be there. Unfortunately I was only able to see him for just a little bit Saturday night. He was sleeping when I got there and I held him for just a little bit before Winston wanted to eat. Therefore no pictures of him, or the babies together. Too bad...hopefully we can get some the next time!

We were able to spend Easter with our families which was fun. Here Quinn is enjoying finding what the Easter Bunny left him.

My Mom bought the boys matching ties for Easter. I wanted to capture a picture of Winston in it before church, just in case he decided to spit up all over himself. Too bad he was just wanting to go to sleep instead.
After church we were able to take a few pictures of the boys all together. How sad is it that this is the first picture of all of them together. I have not been up on things. In fact, we still haven't taken any pictures of the five of us. Ugh...it makes me so sad! If I had a tripod I could attempt it myself.
After Grayson's blessing we went to Mom's for Easter dinner. It was a great dinner with yummy food and great company!! I love when I capture the moments that Grandpa holds my boys. Winston was very content the whole time. I sure do love my "Grandpa Quinn".
After we stayed at my Mom's for a while, we went over and did dinner all over again with Matt's family. Well I actually fed Winston during dinner, and decided to pass on stuffing myself a second time. Quinn didn't get a nap and after a while he disappeared. This is where Ryan found him. Passed out with his guitar still around him. He is a real "guitar hero"!! Oh and you might notice the marker on his nose and eyelids. He decided to mark himself. He's really been into coloring on himself within the last little while and I can't let him use pens or markers anymore.
Then Matt walked upstairs to find Winston and his dad snoozing. Too bad he woke them up by taking pictures.
Thanks for the good weekend family. We're so glad to live close enough to spend time with them often!
