Yesterdays Funnies

My blog is feeling very neglected since I haven't blogged in so long. I have plenty to catch up on, I just need to go through all the pictures first. But in the meantime, I thought I'd let the blog feel some love from me by posting a few funnies from Sunday.

Winston crawled in bed with me in the middle of the night, and after we both fell back to sleep I woke up to move him back to his bed. Right before doing so he just started laughing in his sleep like someone was tickling him. It was so cute, I was tempted to wake Matt up, but it only happened the one time. I wonder what he dreamt that was so funny.

While getting ready for church, Quinn was not wanting to get dressed. So he laid in bed and told me his stomach hurt from breakfast, then he said he had a fever and lastly he told me he had a cold. He was trying really hard to get out of church. This kid fights me on going to church every week. He hates getting dressed up and always tells me how boring it is. But once we get there, he's fine and enjoys his friends.

Yesterday as I walked into church, I realized things looked blurry. I'd forgotten to put in my contacts. How did I not notice that from home until then, since I'm so blind?! Luckily home is less then a mile away.

Sunday Funnies

This morning as I was getting ready for church, Winston was of course hanging out with me in the bathroom. He was playing with my mirror, and dropped it, making the little stand part fall off, as it has many times before. A few minutes later I see this.
(I had him do it for me again, just for the picture.)
He looked at me and says na-na-na-na-da-da. This is how he says Batman. You know the theme song where it goes na, na, na, na, Batman. Well we used to sing it to him, and now that's what he calls Batman, he can even follows the notes sometimes, or he just says it. He totally thought the base of my mirror looked like Batman ears. Totally made me giggle, smile and nuzzle him! Love this little peanut, and he loves Batman!

Again, as we were getting ready for church, Quinn couldn't find his church shoes, he comes out of his room and tell me, "I guess I'm going bear walking." Haha! Oh he made me laugh, and still it makes me laugh! Love his stage when they know what they are saying, but still don't quite know the right word or expression, but just go for it!

At church during Sacrament meeting, right after the last speaker was done and the organ started playing the intro to the last hymn, Winston totally knew that meant it was over, and got all excited and loud gathering his stuff to go to nursery. How do they know when they aren't even watching, what if it was just the rest hymn? He made me giggle!

I had a great day today. I was actually happy and not frustrated with the kids before church. Sundays can be hard! It must have been because I was singing in Sacrament meeting, and already feeling the spirit, practicing it. My friend Melissa and I sang "What Child is This?", and it was so fun. It was great to sing again, and we got tons of compliments of how people felt the spirit through it. One of the missionaries says he didn't cry, but he was close! Haha! I love feeling the spirit and bringing the spirit in with music! It's awesome!

I also got a new calling! I was released from teaching Sunday School with Matt, and called to teach CTR 6 in the primary! I'm very excited and love that I get to be in the primary. This is the first time I've been in primary since I was 18 teaching sunbeams. (Excluding nursery, doesn't count as primary.) I've always been in Sunday School callings, Relief Society callings or Nursery. I'm excited for the change!

Also, it got to something like 85 degrees here today! It was awesome! It's not normal, it's usually more like high 60's/low 70's. Not sure I'm going to like giving up my flip flops and not having to wear a jacket when we go home to Washington later this week! Brrr!

Field Trip!!

Friday night I went out and bought the Sorcerer's Apprentice with a $10 off coupon. (Thank you once again Disney!) We'd never seen it, and I was taking my chances buying it. (I'm glad I did!) When I realized it was PG, I thought I'd let the boys watch it as well. They loved it! If you've seen the movie, in the beginning David is laying in bed and his mom's is yelling to him that he has a field trip that day, and what does she remind him to do? Well Quinn knows it well!

Malcolm has his first field trip of the year tomorrow. As he was taking a bath tonight and I was talking to him about his field trip, Quinn had to quote the movie and tell him, "Don't forget to wear clean underwear!" Why thank you Quinn!

I Love My Kids!

Yesterday as I drove Malcolm to school he told me about the dream he
had that night. He said he dreamt about Uncle Milo putting orange
paper on him, which made him an orange Storm Trooper. Then they drove
around in square tanks and would hit building of different colors to
turn their tanks different colors. He thought it was one cool dream!
He must think Uncle Milo is pretty cool too, playing Star Wars with him!

While we're on the subject of Milo, I have to share a funny story. On
Friday night Dane invited Malcolm to come over and watch Monsters vs.
Aliens with them. Milo came to pick Malcom up and ended up taking
Quinn, since he felt bad that he was bawling. On the drive back to
their house the boys were playing and saying they were different Kung
Fu Panda characters, so Milo said he wanted to be Kung Fu Panda.
Quinn's response was, "You're fat like Kung Fu Panda". I guess Milo
knows what he's dressing up as for halloween!
