Our new car we were actually able to find right here in town. How lucky that we didn't have to drive some where to find one. I was trying to talk Matt into a minivan...but I'm really happy with the choice we made. We ended up getting a 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. We got a really good deal on it which made me happy. I think it's perfect for us. I love that the payment is cheaper then the SVT, that will be a plus during the school year. Anyways, needless to say I feel better about this car purchase than any others we've made. Here's some pictures of the new car!

New Car and Goodbyes To Old
I'm happy to say that we sold our car! Thanks to Matt's awesome brother Nate who bought it!!! It's kinda a bittersweet deal because we really did love our little SVT!! It was a fun little car...fast and sporty, but just not built for a family of five. I'm really happy that Nate bought it so that we still get to see it! Matt will definitely miss it more than me, but someday he can buy himself his own little sports car. Right!?! Nate will love this car. I hope he thinks it's worth every penny. Nate I detailed really good just for you!! So here's some last pictures of our wonderful car!!

One last thing...we are also getting rid of Matt's babies. I'm really am a little sad that he's not able to have these anymore, but I guess it's better for us now anyways. We really don't need 4 vehicles when only two of us can drive. These are Matt's VW Corrados. He's had them for 5 years or more, every since we've been married. He's put a lot of time, money and effort into these things, but he doesn't have the time or money anymore. Notice how dirty they are...they've been sitting since we moved to school. I guess his love is his motorcycle now...or maybe not!

Kids, Kids!
Today I procrastinated on doing my hair, so while I was doing it the kids were downstairs playing/watching a movie. I didn't hear a peep out of them until I was coming down the stairs. As I came downstairs I realized I could smell something. So you know those huge toxic smelling permanent markers...I love the smell...I realized that's what it was. Great...now where was it. Malcolm pointed out what Quinn had done. He scribbled all over this beautiful secretary of Cynthia's with the permanent marker. Oh, I felt so stupid going up to Cynthia and telling her. Thank goodness for Magic Eraser!! That thing saved me. It actually took off all of the marker!
I hate it when my kids are destructive to other peoples property...it makes me feel like I'm such a bad parent because I don't have a constant eye on them. If it's mine...well I get over it. Thankfully Cynthia and Mom love our kids more then any of their stuff. I would have to say that after being here for 3 months and it just barely happened...not to bad!

The Annual Chlarson Reunion
Wow, so I have been so engrossed in books the last month or so, that everything else has been put on the back burner. Again, I've barely even been on the internet. Every spare moment I have had I just want to read. So now that I'm in between books, I better get caught up.
July 25th - July 29th was the Chlarson Family Reunion. Every year we go camping. Some would say we don't really camp, but I love it. We always have to have showers and toilets, but we do love sleeping in tents. This year for the first time we went to Ensign Ranch, church owned can you tell. We loved it. We stayed in the summer cabins, which have bunks inside of them. Only Grammie and Grandpa were brave enough to sleep in them, but next year I might give it a try if we go again. They have a lot of fun things to do there, but what we liked the most was the slip n slide thing. They have this really big hill that's covered in tarps and has water going down it. You go down on a tube and it's a blast. The kids loved it, but I think some of us adults loved it even more. I went up on Wednesday without Matt and stayed until Sunday. Matt came up Friday. The boys did pretty great, except for Thursday night it was really windy. The wind woke both the boys up. I had both of them in bed with me, and Malcolm went right back to sleep. Quinn on the other hand stayed up from 1am until 5am. He was wide awake just talking away. I was so tired!! But that was the worst of it, the rest was awesome. I didn't take nearly enough pictures, but here are some of what I got. I have been slacking on picture taking too. Pregnancy...that's all I have to blame!

So this last year our family worked on putting a cookbook together. I come from a family of great cooks!! At the reunion we got to see the finished product. They turned out so cute and nice. I so excited for them. If anybody loves cooking or cookbooks, we're selling extra for $10 each! Such great recipes.

Quinn helping rake the campsite. What a funny kids, always wanting to help in the wrong ways!
Breakfast...or maybe not. The kids were so busy they barely ever slowed down to eat.
Quinn loves balls...why he was sitting in the field, I don't know!
Quinn posing!
Malcolm pouting!
Uncle Alan's hammock, the kids thought it was fun to fall off, until Dane got hurt doing it!
Quinn loved Chelsey and Kylie. When we were on the slide, after every time down Quinn wanted to cuddle with his towel on Chelsey's lap.
Every year we have a "Reunion T-shirt" and a revealing of them. This year Nathan did the honors, even though I didn't get his face. This is the front.

And here's the back...so fun and cute!

My cousins Chelsey and Kylie hanging out around the fire.

Nathan roasting marshmallows. I was a little scared sitting next to him, when the smoke was in his face he didn't know where he was pointing that thing.

Grandpa and Grammie hanging out by the fire. It really was nighttime here, but it just stays light out until like 9:30pm.
Here's the slip n slide...Matt coming down with Quinn.
Even Mom and Grammie went down...so cute!!
