Halloween 2009

I totally thought I had already posted this, but apparently I had started and not finished.

After the witch party, it was then time to get the kids already for trick or treating. They were of course so very excited. Malcolm this year really wanted to be a red Power Ranger. I'm not to sure why, but he was pretty excited to be this guy!
He did all his posing without being asked.
I just had to post the pictures, because I thought it was so funny!
Not sure what this one is called, funny that he put one hand behind his back.
Go, go Power Rangers!
Quinn really wanted to be a Ninja. Again I'm not sure where they decide to be these things.
Tough guy!
I actually had to tell him to be an Ninja and show me his moves. He's usually the one to do it right off, not Malcolm.
One cute Ninja!!
We didn't know what Winston should be, since he doesn't have an opinion, it was a little harder. The costume we have for the other boys around this age was too small, since he's about 6 months older at the stage when they wore it. We decided to go for a cowboy, since we have these dress up cowboy outfits that Cynthia gave us that her kids wore when they were little.
He is sure one cute cowboy.
He could have been the star of an old western for sure! Very intimidating with that sucker.
He is one cute boy! I sure do love this wild child!
Pop took Mack and Quinn out trick or treating around the neighborhood at like 4pm before the Ward trunk or treat. I think some of the neighbors thought it was a little early! Haha! After that though, we went to the ward trunk or treat, which was a combined one with my mom's ward. Quite convenient if I do say so myself. Winston, Matt and Quinn hanging out behind our car.
Mack and Quinn kicked it in the trunk after making their rounds. It was soooo cold! I didn't blame them one bit.
Winston and cousin Emma chowing down on the candy in the back of the Adams' car.
After the trunk or treat, I was cold and tired. I was not feeling up to taking the kids around the neighborhood too. Could have something to do with the fact that I had strep throat. Matt ended up taking the kids around for a little bit, but it didn't last too long.

Emma is the cutest little girl pirate that I know. I just had to get a picture of her.
I'm not to sure about Landon's costume. But whatever, we'll roll with it!
Picture of Mom and I after the fact of it all.

Which Witch is Which?

My mom hosted her 2nd Annual Witch Party on Halloween afternoon. This is the only way I get dressed up for Halloween. We all met at her house and shared our favorite concoction and chatted.

Here are the drinks choices we had to choose from.
A had coming out of the spinach dip.
Spinach wraps
Yummy pear cake with caramel frosting...I think. It's been a while!
Rolls to go along with the pumpkin stew and mexican chowder. Yummy! I of course had to have both, I love soup!
Some more wraps, and string cheese fingers.
Eyeball brownies. So much good food, more that I didn't document, and lots of fun.
Mel looking all cute and witchy!
Witch sisters, Leisha's baby did the dressing up for her. We all look a little silly, but that's us! Apparently the hat was making me feel like I couldn't get very close.
Leisha is going to kill me! She just has the cutest little prego belly. I just want to rub it and try and feel the baby. I love pregos!
My mom and I talked Cynthia in going on my birthday. She wore my costume from last year and looked adorable. Her polynesian hair was perfect witch hair!
Brianne looking rather hot!
The hosting witch, with her lovely zebra hat. I love that hat. The same one she had to sport on her birthday.
This is right after Aunt LaVoy demonstrated her banshee scream! Man, she can really freak you out. I love her and Leisha cracking it up. It's a little blurry for some reason, but I had to post it. Everyone just looked at her, my mom just said "LaVoy!!!", and they were right back to their conversation. We thought it was hilarious!
Mom has lots of Halloween decorations. It was so fun to see all the witch hats everywhere.
She also has some cute pictures of witch's around the house. I think this is adorable.
This one is in the bathroom, love it!
Mel and I taking a breather together, putting the old feet up. I love her stockings, I wanted some cute ones, but didn't look early enough, but my boots would have covered them up anyways.
A self portrait, with all my black lipstick worn off from all the good eats. I look pretty freaky, let me tell you!
The whole crew that was there.
Cynthia and I, although I look rather retarded. Not sure what I'm doing with my bum!
GraMimi with her little witch granddaughters. How fun for them.
Thanks for the fun times mom! Hope I can make it to other witch party's to come!

Halloween 2008

To start our Halloween festivities, we headed back to the "Parents" the afternoon of my birthday. We got there around 5:30 and got the boys all dressed up for the Stake Halloween carnival. We went to the stake center with Mom, Holli and Grayson, then Matt's parents met us there as well. Right after meeting up with Matt's parents, Matt surprised me and whisked me off to a kid-less birthday dinner. He actually made secret plans and didn't tell me. I was proud of him. Mom had the black hair spray stuff and I was trying to convince the boys to use it, so I sprayed a few striped in my hair. Since Matt surprised me with an outing, I went to dinner that way. Here's a picture of the boys all dressed up for the party.
Meet Hagatha. Hagatha hosted a Witch Party this year. She invited some witch friends and then we all went out for a Halloween lunch. It was quite bewitching!
Here are some of the witch daugthers.
Eating a delightful lunch all together. What a pleasure to be in the company of so many dazzling witches!
My beautiful Aunt Matilda...what a glorious witch. The most booing witch of all, Grammie Boo.
All the pretty witches. I didn't realize it at the time, but the whole back row is family. Just for the record. Front row (L-R) Telsie, Elaine, Sharon, Pat, the good witch Susan. Back row (L-R) Melanie, Holli (up high), Louser (that's me), Brianne, Mother, Auntie LaVoy, Grammie Boo.
Hagatha with all her witch daughters. What a cute group of witches.
Our family Halloween picture. This is the first year Matt and I have dressed up with the boys. The first year I've dressed up since I was like 12 or 13!! I'm sure the same for Matt. (Oh wait there was the time Matt dressed up with his guy friends while we were dating. I ended up running into him while I was out with my girlfriends, I wasn't sure I wanted to claim him. That a whole other story though!) Here Matt was going for crazy scientist, but we didn't take any time to do any makeup. Malcolm and Quinn are little vampires and Winston is a giraffe. We didn't buy one thing for the costumes...that's the great thing! The older boys wore church clothes with their batman cape and knight cape. Winston's costumes has been worn by all three boys. Although the older boys were almost 4 months when they wore it, and Winston is almost 9 months. It barely fit him...but it worked, good thing he's a little guy.
The boys seemed to run from house to house. Quinn running from a house after getting his goods. I've found that I don't like all the Halloween pictures taken while trick or treating. It's just too dark for them to look good. From now on, I'm only taking the pictures before or after.
It just ended up that all the grandkids were able to go trick or treating together. The only one missing is Emma, we always miss those Adams'!! After the trick or treating was over, they were still willing to get a picture together. L-R Mason-the train conductor, Nathan-Seahawks football player, Jayni-fairy, Kathryn-Witch, Quinn-Vampire, Malcolm-Vampire, Dane-Pirate, Babies L-R Reed- Spider, Winston-Giraffe, Grayson-Dalmatian. What a cute group of cousins!
We had to get the little ones together for a picture. Grayson is too busy and always on the go. It was quite the challenge to get this picture.
Milo showing off his football buffness with the babies. What a stud!!
