Malcolm's T-ball

For the past 6 weeks Malcolm has been doing T ball. It was so fun to see him learn the sport and his excitement with it all. He improved so much from the start. He hits better and actually knows where all the bases are. It was so funny to watch the kids in the first few games running right to second, bypassing third. At the first game, one girl on his team was up to bat. She hit the ball and immediately picked up her own ball, then ran to first. Way funny and cute!! Mack was very aggressive and competitive...in a good way for the most part. If he was playing on third base and the ball was hit toward first, he would still run for the ball until someone else got it. But if he was close enough, he wanted to be the first one to it.

The first time batting. So cute! It was so cold for most of the season. We bought Quinn a baseball glove too, so that he could practice. We signed him up for Tiny Tykes T-ball starting in a couple weeks. Should be so cute!
If Malcolm was in range of getting to the ball...he wanted to be the first one to get it. He was always such a good sport though!
Waiting for his turn to bat. He was playing with the helmet and put is thumb in the hole on top and got it stuck...it was so funny! His coach had to help him get it out.

Running home. For the first few games or so, every time he ran for a base, he would slide to it. We're not sure where he learned that from.Monday they had a pizza party for the kids where they gave them their certificate. He had great coaches. Just some college students coaching kids for the summer! Too cute! As they were going to give Malcolm his certificate, Coach Harley had to tell the story about Malcolm and his sunflower seeds. Last Monday Matt had given Malcolm some sunflower seeds right before he went outfield. When he got out there his coach saw that he was chewing on something and asked him what it was. Malcolm said they were sunflower seeds. So his coached asked if he knew how to eat them. Malcolm said yes and chewed them all up and spit them on the grass. His coach just started cracking up. He thought it was so funny. I just saw him out there laughing over and over about it.
